OmniClear is Omniya’s extraction-led facial for congested, oily and acne-prone skin. It is for patients who can see or feel blocked pores, blackheads, whiteheads, closed comedones or repeated congestion and want the skin cleared carefully by someone who knows when to stop.
At our Knightsbridge clinic, your aesthetician looks at the pattern of congestion, asks about your routine and checks whether medication, sensitivity or recent treatment changes how we should handle the skin. The appointment then combines cleansing, careful manual extraction where appropriate, and targeted actives selected for your skin on the day.
Appointments run 60 to 75 minutes and start from £180. Most patients carry on with normal activities afterwards, although skin may look red or feel tender where extractions have been done.

Congestion is not one single thing. Blackheads usually sit open at the surface. Whiteheads and closed comedones can sit under the skin and feel like small bumps. Some patients have blocked pores mainly across the nose and chin; others have congestion mixed with active breakouts, sensitivity or marks left by older spots.
OmniClear is useful when visible congestion is part of the problem and professional extraction is suitable. Skincare such as salicylic acid, retinoids and other pore-focused ingredients can help reduce new congestion over time, but they do not always clear what is already sitting in the pore. That is where careful manual work can be useful.
The aim is to clear suitable blockages, calm the skin afterwards and make the home routine more sensible, so the same congestion is less likely to rebuild between appointments.

If acne is severe, nodular, painful, infected or scarring, please tell us at consultation. In that situation a dermatology assessment and a medical plan may need to come first. A facial can sometimes support prescribed care, but it should not stand in for medical assessment when acne needs diagnosis or medication.
If you are already under a prescriber, continue your prescribed treatment unless that prescriber advises otherwise.
We may also postpone or adapt treatment if the skin is very inflamed, broken, infected, newly reactive or recently treated with a peel, laser or strong active routine.
We start with an in-depth consultation. Your aesthetician will ask where you break out, how long spots take to settle, whether you mark easily, what products you use, whether you pick, whether you are using prescribed acne treatment and whether anything has recently changed.
Congestion from heavy skincare is approached differently from inflammatory acne along the jaw. A few blackheads around the nose need a different plan from widespread sensitivity and breakouts. We use the consultation to decide how much extraction is sensible and how much the skin can tolerate that day.
The skin is cleansed first. It is then prepared so suitable blockages release more easily. Your aesthetician works through congested areas, often the nose, chin, cheeks or wherever your skin needs attention, and avoids forcing lesions that are too inflamed or too deep. You will be told as we go which areas are being treated and which are better left.
At the end, targeted actives are applied and aftercare is explained. The products are chosen to support clarity and comfort, not to overload skin that has just been extracted.
Part of the skill is knowing where to stop. A pore that is ready to clear is different from a deep, painful or cystic lesion. Squeezing the wrong lesion at home can worsen inflammation and increase the risk of post-blemish marks or scarring.
Good extraction is also not about clearing every visible bump at any cost. Sometimes leaving a lesion alone is the safer choice. If a blockage is not ready, or if the surrounding skin is too inflamed, your aesthetician will avoid forcing it.
The work at home matters just as much. Over-exfoliating, layering too many acne products, using heavy creams or picking at the skin can keep the cycle going. We can review what you already use and suggest a clearer routine, including what to pause after treatment.
OmniClear may suit:
It may not be the right first step if your skin is very sensitive, actively flaring, severely inflamed or reacting badly to products. It is also not a treatment for deep acne scarring, advanced pigmentation or lower-face firmness. Those concerns may need a different plan once breakouts are stable.
Skin often looks fresher and feels smoother on the day. It can also look pink or feel tender in extracted areas. Some patients notice new spots in the first one to two weeks after treatment. This is sometimes called purging, but not every breakout after a facial is purging.
A true purge should settle. Breakouts can also happen because of irritation, hormones, products, picking or acne that was already active under the surface. If spots keep worsening, or if you develop a painful, spreading or itchy rash, contact the clinic so we can review the plan rather than waiting it out.
If you have an event coming up, tell your practitioner the date. This matters most before your first OmniClear, because we do not yet know how quickly redness or tenderness settles for your skin.

Extractions can be uncomfortable, particularly around the nose and chin where congestion is dense and the skin lies close to bone. They should not be excessively painful. Your aesthetician works in stages, checks how you are doing and can move on if an area feels too much.
Afterwards, temporary redness, sensitivity or minor irritation can last from a few hours to a few days. Avoid picking, heat, strong exfoliants and makeup on the day unless your practitioner advises otherwise. If you take prescribed acne medication, check with your prescriber before booking and tell your aesthetician what you are taking. Some medications change how skin tolerates extraction, acids or LED. Do not stop prescribed treatment in order to have a facial unless your prescriber advises it.
Allow around two weeks for the full result to show. A single facial may last four weeks or more, depending on your skin and your routine at home.
For recurring congestion, a series of three to six sessions is the usual starting point, paired with a consistent at-home plan tailored by your practitioner, since congestion returns if nothing changes between appointments.
For maintaining healthy skin, a facial every four to six weeks is the usual rhythm. Where low grade acne is being actively managed, every two to three weeks may be recommended instead. Your practitioner will suggest the interval that fits your skin and what you want to achieve.

OmniClear is the treatment conversation when congestion, blackheads and acne-prone skin are the main issues. If dullness and dehydration are more important than congestion, our oxygen facial or HydrOxy may be a better fit. HydraFacial cleanses and hydrates through its vortex system, which is gentler than the manual extraction used in OmniClear.
Once active breakouts are controlled, the next concern may be post-acne marks, redness, pigmentation or texture. At that stage we may discuss a chemical peel, BBL Hero and Moxi, HALO or Morpheus8, depending on your skin tone, downtime and the depth of the concern.
If the separate issue is lower-face firmness or early laxity, XERF belongs in a different treatment conversation rather than on an acne-clearing plan.

Luxe includes everything in the core treatment and adds a facial and shoulder massage. It makes the appointment more restorative without changing the treatment aim: decongesting the skin and supporting a clearer, calmer complexion.
It depends on whether you are on a prescribed medication and which medication that is. It’s essential to consult with your prescriber to ensure compatibility, as well as with your skin aesthetician prior to the appointment, to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the treatment.
Extraction of blackheads and whiteheads may cause slight discomfort, but it should not be excessively painful. Your aesthetician manages your comfort throughout and adjusts as needed.
Every four to six weeks is the general recommendation for maintaining skin health, and every two to three weeks may be advised while low grade acne is being managed. A course of three to six sessions is the usual starting point
Some patients notice breakouts in the first one to two weeks. This is often called purging, but a new breakout is not automatically purging and spots appear for other reasons too, so discuss it with your practitioner. Contact the clinic if they continue to worsen and we will review your plan.
