HydrOxy is a combined facial for skin that feels congested and dehydrated at the same time. At Omniya in Knightsbridge, we use a full HydraFacial first, then follow with a professional oxygen facial.
The HydraFacial stage clears and hydrates the surface. The oxygen stage then applies a serum of vitamins, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid under pure oxygen at controlled pressure. For the right skin, the combination can leave the face looking brighter, cleaner and more comfortable without planned downtime.
Appointments take from 75 minutes and start from £270. Your skin may look slightly flushed for an hour or so afterwards.

HydrOxy is ordinarily advised when the skin has more than one surface concern. It might feel dry but still look congested. It may have small areas of build-up around the nose or chin, but also look flat through the cheeks. Some patients describe their skin as dull even when they are moisturising regularly.
In those cases, simply adding a hydrating mask is often not enough. The skin may first need cleansing, exfoliation and extraction so that hydration sits better afterwards. That is why the HydraFacial stage comes before the oxygen stage.
HydrOxy is most often considered for dullness, dehydration, mild congestion, early fine surface lines and uneven tone. It can be used for dry, oily and combination skin, and for many sensitive skin types, provided the skin is calm enough on the day.
If your skin is inflamed, broken, infected or reacting strongly, we may wait. The HydraFacial stage includes exfoliation and suction, so we need the skin barrier to be in a suitable condition before we begin.
If pigmentation is the main concern, we would assess it carefully first. Sun damage, melasma and post-inflammatory marks can look similar at first glance, but they behave differently. HydrOxy may make tone look fresher, but it is not always the best plan for pigmentation-led concerns.
If active breakouts or oily congestion are the main issue, OmniClear may be more appropriate. If firmness or laxity is the priority, we would talk about HydraTite, XERF or radiofrequency skin tightening instead.

Your appointment begins with an in-depth consultation. Your aesthetician will look at your skin, ask about your current routine, check for sensitivity and ask what you have had done recently. Please tell us about prescription skincare, retinoids, exfoliating acids, allergies, previous reactions and recent peels, lasers or resurfacing treatments.
That information changes the way we treat. It helps us choose the serums, set the suction pressure and decide whether anything should be adjusted or postponed.
HydraFacial uses a patented vortex tip with gentle suction and a continuous flow of solution. In practice, this stage cleanses, exfoliates, helps clear pore debris and infuses hydrating serums.
The aim is to leave the surface cleaner and more receptive to the next stage. Some patients need more attention around the nose and chin; others need a lighter approach because their skin is reactive. Your aesthetician adjusts the treatment to what they see rather than treating every face in the same way.
By the end of this stage, the skin should feel cleaner and smoother, not overworked.
The oxygen (facial) stage is applied after the HydraFacial. Pure oxygen at controlled pressure is used with a serum blended for your skin. The serum contains vitamins, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid.
This stage feels cool and light. It is used to support hydration and brightness after the skin has already been cleansed and exfoliated. Where dehydration has made fine surface lines more noticeable, the skin may look softer once it is better hydrated.
Many patients notice brightness and hydration straight away. The skin often looks its best over the next day or two, after any brief flush has settled.
The result from one treatment may last around a month, depending on your skin, the season and your home routine. If you are preparing for an occasion, a day or two beforehand is usually sensible. Before a first HydrOxy, allow more time so you know how your skin responds.
For a more sustained change in texture or tone, we may recommend a course. Treatments are commonly spaced every four to six weeks, with the number of sessions agreed after assessment. We will confirm the number of appointments and total cost before you commit.
Arrive with clean skin where possible. Pause exfoliating acids for a few days beforehand unless you have been told otherwise. If you use a prescription retinoid or other prescribed skincare, speak to your prescriber before pausing it and tell your aesthetician what you are using.
Please let us know about allergies, sensitivities, recent treatments and any previous reaction to a facial. Side effects are usually limited to mild redness or sensitivity for a few hours.
Treatment may be adapted or postponed if there is active skin infection, inflamed or broken skin, recent resurfacing, or another concern we feel should settle first.
You can apply makeup immediately afterwards unless your aesthetician advises otherwise. Between appointments, consistent cleansing, moisturising and daily SPF help maintain the result.
A standalone HydraFacial may be enough when cleansing, exfoliation and hydration are the main priorities. The oxygen facial may be enough on its own when hydration is the priority and the skin does not need the fuller HydraFacial stage first.
HydraTite combines HydraFacial with radiofrequency skin tightening, so it belongs in the conversation when laxity is part of the concern. XERF and radiofrequency skin tightening may also be more relevant for lower-face firmness.
For pigmentation, we may discuss chemical peels, BBL Hero and Moxi or HALO, depending on the pattern and your skin. For acne scarring, enlarged pores or deeper textural remodelling, Morpheus8 may be more appropriate.
