BBL Hero and Moxi Laser Treatment in London

BBL HERO and Moxi Laser are powerful skin treatments that pair perfectly to produce incredible results and total body skin renewal.

At Omniya, we offer this combination treatment that works together to reduce sun damage, redness, pigmentation, wrinkles and overall skin texture. The laser clears your complexion resulting in a radiant glow, and is perfect for skin that is prone to redness, acne, rosacea, sunspots or broken veins/capillaries. BBL laser removes pigment by damaging it through light treatment. This damage is repaired by the body, and old pigmentation is broken down. Moxi uses skin coagulation to achieve similar results by engaging the body’s healing response, results can be further enhanced by collagen production.

Explore treatment for sun damage, uneven pigmentation, redness and skin texture at Omniya in Knightsbridge. BBL HERO and Moxi can be used individually or together, depending on your skin and the changes you would like to see.

Not sure which to choose? A skin consultation helps establish which treatment is appropriate, what recovery may involve and what results are realistic for you.

BBL or Moxi: what is the difference?

BBL HERO uses broadband light to target selected pigmentation and visible redness. Although often called a BBL laser, it is a light-based treatment rather than a laser. It may be considered for sun spots, uneven pigmentation and small visible vessels, following an assessment of their cause.

Moxi is a non-ablative fractional laser that uses a 1927nm wavelength. It creates microscopic treatment zones to support skin renewal and improve the appearance of uneven tone and texture.

A combined treatment may be appropriate when both colour changes and texture are concerns. Your practitioner will assess suitability for each treatment separately: being suitable for Moxi does not automatically mean BBL is appropriate too.

Is this the right treatment for my skin?

The cause of pigmentation or redness matters when choosing treatment. Your consultation should cover your skin type, medical history, medicines, recent sun exposure, previous procedures and treatment goals. Tell your practitioner about sensitivity, previous pigment changes and any upcoming holidays or events.

Melasma needs its own assessment and treatment plan. BBL and Moxi should not be assumed to be the right combination for every type of pigmentation.

Before and After Transformations

BBL Laser Treatment

BBL HERO is a non-invasive treatment for sun damage, uneven pigmentation and redness. At Omniya in Knightsbridge, we adjust the treatment to your skin and the changes you would like to see. BBL stands for broadband light. Although often called a BBL laser, it uses pulses of light rather than a laser beam.

The light targets pigment and small visible vessels. This allows us to address more than one concern in a session, such as sun spots alongside redness. The settings are chosen for the area being treated and the way your skin responds.

What BBL can help with

Treatment can help age spots and sun-related pigmentation fade, giving the skin a more even tone. You may also notice improvements in texture. BBL can stimulate collagen production, which may help soften fine lines and improve firmness and elasticity over time. The degree of improvement varies from person to person.

BBL Moxi Laser treatment

BBL Laser is Versatile

BBL can be used on the face, neck, chest and hands. If you are concerned about more than one area, bring this up at your consultation so we can discuss the options. Acne also needs its own assessment before deciding whether a light-based treatment is appropriate.

What to expect

Your practitioner will examine your skin and ask about your medical history, skincare and previous treatments. This is also a chance to explain what you hope to improve and ask questions about the treatment. A session usually takes 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the area covered.

You may feel warmth with each pulse of light. Afterwards, your skin can look red or feel warm, and treated brown spots may darken before they fade. We will explain your aftercare and the recovery to allow for. Improvements develop over the following weeks, and more than one session may be recommended.

Is BBL right for you?

Your skin type, recent sun exposure, medicines and any skin conditions all need to be considered. A consultation helps establish whether BBL is appropriate and what results are realistic for you. Tell us about any holidays or events you have planned so that recovery can be taken into account.

Forever Young BBL

Forever Young BBL is a non-invasive treatment for sun damage and visible signs of ageing. At Omniya in Knightsbridge, we use broadband light to treat uneven pigmentation and redness, with settings chosen for your skin and the changes you would like to see.

You may be concerned about freckles or brown spots that have become more noticeable, or a complexion that looks less even than it used to. Treatment can address several concerns in the same session.

How Forever Young BBL works

The light targets pigment and small visible blood vessels, helping to reduce the appearance of sun spots and redness. BBL can also stimulate collagen production, which may soften fine lines and improve skin firmness, elasticity and texture over time.

Changes develop over the weeks after treatment. Some patients notice an improvement after their first session, while others need a course to see a clearer difference. Your practitioner will explain what is realistic for your skin.

Forever Young BBL can also be used for ongoing maintenance after an initial course. Further appointments are planned around your response and whether there are concerns you would like to continue treating.

HydraLite Facial BBL and Hydrafacial

Your Forever Young BBL treatment

Your consultation gives us a chance to examine your skin and discuss what you hope to improve. We will ask about your medical history, medicines, previous treatments and recent sun exposure before recommending a plan.

What to expect

A session usually takes around 90 minutes. Your practitioner applies a cooling gel, then uses the Forever Young BBL handpiece to deliver light pulses across the treatment area. You may feel warmth as the handpiece moves over your skin.

Mild redness can occur afterwards and often fades within a few hours, although some skin takes longer to settle. We will explain your aftercare and the recovery to allow for. Tell us about any holidays or important events when arranging treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

We may recommend three to five sessions, spaced about four weeks apart. This allows time between appointments to see how your skin responds. Maintenance treatments may then be suggested two to four times a year, depending on your needs.

Is Forever Young BBL right for you?

If you would like to improve pigmentation, redness or changes in skin texture, Forever Young BBL may be an option. It is not suitable for every skin type or condition, so an assessment comes first.

Book a skin consultation with our team at Omniya to discuss your concerns, the likely results and what treatment would involve.

Is Profhilo Safe? Profhilo has one of the strongest safety profiles of any injectable treatment. It is pure hyaluronic acid with no chemical cross-linking agents (BDDE-free), which is why reactions are rare and there is no risk of the migration or lumpiness sometimes associated with dermal fillers. What is normal: small raised bumps at the injection points, which settle within 24 hours, and occasionally minor bruising or tenderness for a day or two. What is rare: allergic reaction or infection at the injection site. Searches for "Profhilo gone wrong" almost always trace back to poor injector technique or counterfeit product — not the product itself. At Omniya, Profhilo is administered only by GMC- and GDC-registered doctors and our lead aesthetic nurse, using genuine IBSA product, in a CQC-registered clinic. If anything about your result concerns you after treatment, you will be reviewed by a doctor, not a booking line.

Forever Clear BBL

Forever Clear BBL is a non-invasive treatment for acne, redness and acne scarring. Using blue, yellow and infrared light it targets the root of the problem and is a gentle yet effective way to improve your skin. It promotes the skin’s natural healing process and gives long-term results with minimal downtime.

At Omniya in Knightsbridge, we assess your skin and the type of breakouts you are experiencing before deciding whether light treatment is appropriate.

How Forever Clear BBL works

Treatment uses blue, yellow and infrared light in stages. Blue light targets bacteria associated with acne, yellow light helps reduce redness and inflammation, and infrared light supports the skin’s repair response.

This approach can help with active breakouts and some of the redness left behind. Acne marks and established scars are different concerns, so your practitioner will explain which changes Forever Clear BBL may help with and whether another treatment is needed.

What to expect

A session usually takes around 30 minutes. Your practitioner applies a cooling gel, then uses the Forever Clear BBL handpiece to deliver pulses of light across the treatment area.

Your skin may look red afterwards. This often settles within a few hours, although recovery varies. We will explain your aftercare and when you can return to your usual skincare and activities.

You may notice an improvement after one session, but a course may be recommended. The number of appointments will depend on your acne and how your skin responds.

Is Forever Clear BBL right for you?

Your consultation will cover your skin concerns, medical history, medicines and any acne treatments you already use. This helps us decide whether Forever Clear BBL is suitable or whether another approach would be more useful.

Moxi Laser Treatment

Moxi treats uneven pigmentation, sun damage and rough skin texture. It may be an option if you have started to notice these changes, or if you want to maintain an improvement from previous treatment.

At Omniya, your practitioner will look at your skin and discuss what you would like to change. This helps us decide whether Moxi is suitable and how to plan your treatment.

How Moxi works

Moxi is a non-ablative fractional laser. It creates microscopic treatment zones, leaving areas of skin between them untreated. The skin’s repair process can then bring gradual improvements in tone and texture over the following weeks.

MOXI-1.png

What happens at your appointment?

The treatment typically takes 15 to 30 minutes. You will need to allow extra time for preparation and any numbing cream.

Skin can feel warm and look red afterwards. Over the next few days, you may notice tiny dark flecks and a rough feel before the skin starts to flake. The amount of visible recovery depends on the settings used and how your skin responds.

We will explain how to care for the treated area and when to restart your skincare. If you have an event or holiday coming up, let us know before booking.

Who can have Moxi?

Moxi can be used across a range of skin tones, but suitability still needs to be checked. Bring details of your medicines and previous skin treatments to your consultation, and mention any sensitivity or pigment changes you have experienced.

Speak to our team at Omniya to arrange a skin consultation and talk through your options.

BBL Hero and Moxi Laser Treatment FAQs

What does BBL Hero stand for?

BBL stands for broadband light therapy.

What is BBL Hero?

BroadBand™ light, a form of IPL (intense pulsed light) device, distinguishes itself from traditional lasers: lasers employ a narrowly focused wavelength on the light spectrum, whereas BBL utilises a broad spectrum of light, enabling numerous wavelengths to penetrate the skin simultaneously.

Not all IPL devices are identical; BBL’s advancements elevate this treatment to a whole new standard, promoting a skin healing response for the production of collagen and elastin, while also enhancing various visible signs of ageing.

What makes Moxi and BBL Hero such a special pairing?

Moxi uses fractionated laser energy to create micro-coagulation zones, which the body then repairs by replacing damaged cells with fresh ones. The Moxi™ procedure rejuvenates your skin by improving tonal and textural changes without a lot of downtime.

BBL uses the world’s most powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) making it the fastest way to treat pigment, sun damage and troublesome age spots on any area of the body.

Combined, these two treatments provide skin revitalisation, effectively and efficiently.

How does BBL Hero™ work?

Sciton’s BBL Hero treatment employs intense pulsed light to target skin pigmentation. Specialised light flashes are quickly moved across the treatment area, darkening the pigment initially. Over the next few days, your body’s natural healing process eliminates pigmented cells, replacing them with fresh, undamaged cells.

How comfortable are BBL Hero and Moxi Laser Treatment?

Each light flash produces a warm sensation. Most patients find it easy to tolerate and do not require any anaesthetic numbing cream. If you are having combined treatments, once the BBL treatment is complete, your specialist will apply a numbing cream before beginning the Moxi™ treatment.

How long does BBL Hero take to see results?

Results may vary, but most patients experience visible improvements within 2 – 4 weeks, depending on the individual, treated area, and settings used. Results last 4 – 6 weeks after the treatment.

What is BBL Hero and Moxi Laser Treatment post-care?

It is crucial to wear physical barrier sunscreen and clothing, while also limiting sun exposure after the treatment. You may also wear makeup 24 hours after the treatment.

Is there any downtime for BBL Hero?

You will be red and hot post treatment, and we recommend you book your treatment on a day when you can go home and relax afterwards. Redness and heat will usually subside within 24 – 48 hours. Tiny raised brown dots (MENDS) will begin to surface and your skin will feel tight and rough to touch. These dots will shed and new skin will emerge. You will be glowing by day 14 and will continue to see results 4 – 6 weeks after the treatment.

You should refrain from heavy exercise, steam rooms or saunas, and baths for 48 hours post treatment to avoid infection. You will need to stay out of the sun for at least 14 days and wear SPF every day while you are healing. Makeup can be applied 24 hours post treatment.

How many BBL Hero and Moxi Laser treatments do you need?

The level of correction you desire will depend on your treatment goals. Typically, patients receive 3-4 corrective Moxi treatments and 1-2 BBL treatments, followed by regular maintenance treatments. Your practitioner can advise you on the best course of treatment based on your goals.

Is there any reason that BBL Hero and/or Moxi laser are not treatments for me?

You are not suitable for this treatment if you:

  • Are pregnant or nursing
  • Have active cancerous or precancerous cells on the treatment site
  • Have a history of keloid scar formation
  • Have been on Accutane in the past 18 months
  • Have an auto-immune disease of the skin
  • Have broken or compromised skin, or are sunburnt or peeling.
  • Cannot stay out of the sun for the entire healing process
  • Have a compromised immune system (contingent on provider assessment)
  • Have suntanned or self-tanned skin
  • Have a history of seizures
  • Have light-triggered migraines
