Medical History

Instructions:
Upon making an appointment, an account will be created for you. Please select 'Yes, I've already got a profile!' and then 'recover password' and you will receive an email to set a new password - please check your Spam/Junk folder.
Please note: If there are any medical changes or if you have been taking any new medication since the last time you visited us, please inform us before you attend the clinic to ensure you are still suitable to have the treatment.
Contraindications
This treatment may not be suitable if you are or have:
- Pregnant or breastfeeding
- Pacemakers
- Metallic prosthesis & implants in the area
- History of any form of cancer (GP/ Consultant’s letter to conform it is fine to treat; must be in remission for 12 months)
- Lymphatic or Immune System disorders
- Vascular disease
- History of keloid scarring
- Recent scar tissue
- Skin infections/broken skin in this area
- Roaccutane (6 months)
- Rosacea, severe thread veins or melasma
- Chemical Peels (variable wait-time depending on strength of peel)
- Botox and injectable fillers (avoid area for 2 weeks)
- Permanent fillers (e.g: silicone)
- Diabetes (Type 1 & 2) or high blood pressure
Pre Treatment Instructions
Please:
- Avoid alcohol and caffeine or other diuretic substances and drink plenty of water 24 hours before your appointment; we are targeting the water within your skin so the more hydrated you are, the better the results will be;
- Avoid exfoliating acids the night before and on the day of your appointment
- Avoid retinol 3 days before your treatment and avoid retinoids 2 weeks before
Post Treatment Instructions
- The treated area can be slightly pink after the treatment and this may last for a few hours. It will also feel warm to the touch during this time.
- A high protection sunscreen should be used after treatments and sun exposure should be avoided for 1 week post-treatment.
- Make-up can be applied after several hours.
- Immediately after treatment, contraction of your collagen fibres improve the skin’s elasticity and so your skin will appear firmer. This can be temporary as the production of new collagen takes time, and best results are seen after your course of treatments (continuing for 3 to 6 months after the end of your course).
- Blistering is very rare, but can occur. If this happens to you, please contact the clinic for further advice.
- Keep yourself hydrated, avoid diuretic drinks (coffee, alcohol) for the next 24-48 hours
Cancellations
If you need to rearrange or cancel your appointment for any reason, we operate with a 48 hour cancellation policy, therefore we kindly ask you to inform us within 2 working days if you are unable to attend your appointment.
