Welcome to Omniya Clinic’s guide to your Polynucleotide treatment. Below, you will find comprehensive contraindications, pre-care and post-care information for your treatment. If you have any questions, please contact our reception team who will be happy to assist you.
Medical History

Upon making an appointment, an account will be created for you. Please select 'Yes, I've already got a profile!' and then 'recover password' and you will receive an email to set a new password - please check your Spam/Junk folder.
Please note: If there are any medical changes or if you have been taking any new medication since the last time you visited us, please inform us before you attend the clinic to ensure you are still suitable to have the treatment.
Contraindications
This treatment is contraindicated if you have or are:
- Active Skin Conditions: Any active skin infections or inflammatory conditions in the treatment area.
- Allergy: Known hypersensitivity or allergy to the components of the polynucleotide formulation.
- Healing Impairment: Conditions that could impair wound healing, such as uncontrolled diabetes or severe systemic diseases.
- Pregnant/Breastfeeding: Often contraindicated during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically advised by your practitioner.
- Acute Dermatoses: Presence of any acute skin condition that could negatively affect treatment outcomes.
Pre Treatment Advice
Please:
- Avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise on the day of treatment
- Steer clear of saunas, hot tubs, or tanning booths in the days leading up to your procedure
- Ensure your skin is protected with an SPF 30 (or higher) sunscreen if you’re exposed to sunlight
- Try to attend your appointment makeup-free
Post Treatment Instructions & Expectations
Please:
- Don’t apply foundation or creams over the treatment area until the day after your treatment.
- Avoid strenuous exercise first 24 hours or hot tubs.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours after your treatment.
- No saunas or tanning booths for 2 weeks after your treatment - and don’t have radiofrequency, IPL, laser, or any other heat treatments near the treated area for 2 weeks.
- Always wear a broad spectrum, high factor (30 or above) SPF.
- Bruising can be helped by taking oral bromelain (pineapple extract) and oral arnica, or by applying arnica cream.
- After your treatment, you should begin to see an improvement skin quality, skin hydration and texture when the swelling subsides, with results improving over time.
- It’s important to have your second follow up treatment to achieve the optimum results.
When to Contact Us
Important: In Case of Side Effects or Concerns
If you experience any unexpected side effects or notice any changes that concern you, please contact the clinic immediately. In particular, any skin colour changes, such as an area of skin becoming purple or red, or bruising which appears abnormal:
