Pre Treatment Advice

Please:

  • Avoid products containing exfoliating acids in the treatment area 48-72 hours prior to the treatment
  • Avoid waxing or using other hair removal methods 3-5 days before the treatment
  • If you’ve recently had aesthetic treatments, wait 2 weeks before coming in for a treatment
  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine or other diuretic substances and drink plenty of water 24 hours before your appointment; we are targeting the water within your skin so the more hydrated you are, the better the results will be;
  • Avoid retinol 3 days before your treatment and avoid retinoids 2 weeks before

Post Treatment Instructions, Expectations & Possible Side Effects

  • You will likely see results immediately after treatment and your skin will feel smooth and hydrated for one to four weeks. For improved, longer lasting results, consider take-home products and monthly HydraTite treatments.
  • The treatment is soothing, moisturizing, non-invasive and generally non-irritating. As with most procedures, visible results from HydraTite will vary from person to person.
  • Your skin may experience temporary irritation, tightness, or redness; it may also feel hot to touch. These are all normal reactions that typically resolve within 72 hours depending on skin sensitivity.
  • The treatment area is more susceptible to sunburn, sun damage and hyperpigmentation. Avoid direct sun exposure and use a minimum of SPF 30 product
  • The area may be slightly-moderate red for up to 72 hours which is normal.
  • If any breakout purges occur within the next 2 weeks, this is normal.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, sun beds, swimming pools, excessive sweating and heat treatments e.g sauna, steam rooms and hot showers/baths for the next 48hours.
  • Avoid aggressive exfoliation; products containing exfoliating acids or retinol should be avoided in the treatment area 48-72 hours post treatment
  • Avoid the use of prescription retinoids (e.g. tretinoin) 1 week pre- and post-treatment.
  • Avoid waxing or using other hair removal methods for 5-7 days
  • Makeup can be applied after 12 hours
  • No picking or touching after the treatment.
  • Immediately after treatment, contraction of your collagen fibres improve the skin’s elasticity and so your skin will appear firmer. This can be temporary as the production of new collagen takes time, and best results are seen after your course of treatments (continuing for 3 to 6 months after the end of your course).
  • Blistering is very rare, but can occur. If this happens to you, please contact the clinic for further advice.
  • Keep yourself hydrated, avoid diuretic drinks (coffee, alcohol) for the next 24-48 hours
