Welcome to Omniya Clinic’s guide to your Fire & Ice or Champagne on Ice treatment. Below, you will find comprehensive contraindications, pre-care and post-care information for your treatment. If you have any questions, please contact our reception team who will be happy to assist you.
Medical History
If it is your first time seeing an aesthetician at Omniya Clinic please click here to fill out your Medical History Form in advance of your appointment.
Instructions:
Upon making an appointment, an account will be created for you. Please select 'Yes, I've already got a profile!' and then 'recover password' and you will receive an email to set a new password - please check your Spam/Junk folder.
Please note: If there are any medical changes or if you have been taking any new medication since the last time you visited us, please inform us before you attend the clinic to ensure you are still suitable to have the treatment.
Contraindications
This treatment is contraindicated if you are or have:
- An adverse reaction to glycolic acid or other chemical peels
- Active Herpes Simplex or warts
- Had recent facial surgical procedure
- On prescribed oral vit A (Roaccutane) in the last 6 months
- On tretinoin and other prescribed skincare must be discontinued for one week
- Currently taking an active high dose of B5 supplement
- Autoimmune disease
- Radioactive or chemotherapy; history of cancer – must be in remission for one year and a doctor’s note must be presented
- Sunburn, windburn or broken skin or recently waxed, shaved or depilated
Sculpta Contraindications
Sculpta is a device that can be included within a Fire and Ice or Champagne on Ice treatment. This device is contraindicated if you are or have:
- Heart conditions, including arrhythmias or recent heart surgery
- Pacemakers, defibrillators, or other electronic implants
- Diabetes (especially if accompanied by numbness or reduced sensitivity to heat)
- Active cancer or a history of cancer within the past 12 months
- Pregnancy
- Thrombosis or thrombophlebitis
- Uncontrolled high blood pressure
- Autoimmune diseases
- Thyroid disease
- Liver or kidney disease
- Ongoing chemotherapy or immune therapy
- Active skin infections, broken skin, open wounds, or inflamed areas
- Severe skin conditions (e.g., eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis)
- Rosacea
- Sensitivity or allergy to electrodes
- Recent surgery (within the last 6 months)
- Antibiotics (wait until the course is completed)
- Depilatory creams (wait 2 weeks)
- IPL or laser treatments within the last 2 weeks
- Botulinum toxin injections (wait 2 weeks)
- Dermal fillers (wait 4 weeks)
- Recent sunburn or significant sun exposure (wait until the tan subsides)
- Epilepsy or seizures triggered by light
- Light-induced migraines or migraines within the past 24 hours
- Dental implants (avoid direct treatment over the area)
- Metal facial implants (excluding fillings)
Pre Treatment Advice
Please note:
- Waxing or laser should be avoided for 48 hours prior
- Avoid any active products for 3 days prior to treatment
- Avoid heat in the skin for up to 3 hours prior treatment
Post Treatment Instructions & Expectations
- A rosy hue, mild itchiness, change in pigmentation and dryness/light flaking may occur
- No sun for 24 hours. SPF mandatory post treatment and up to 4 weeks
- Avoid heat and exercise (sweat) for 12 hours post treatment
- Avoid the use of active prods for 2-3 days
- Avoid at home exfoliation for 7 days
- No waxing or laser for one week
- Apply Shield Recovery if skin is inflamed
Cancellations
If you need to rearrange or cancel your appointment for any reason, we operate with a 48 hour cancellation policy, therefore we kindly ask you to inform us within 2 working days if you are unable to attend your appointment.
