Welcome to Omniya Clinic’s guide to your Botox treatment. Below, you will find comprehensive contraindications, pre-care and post-care information for your treatment. If you have any questions, please contact our reception team who will be happy to assist you.
Medical History

Upon making an appointment, an account will be created for you. Please select 'Yes, I've already got a profile!' and then 'recover password' and you will receive an email to set a new password - please check your Spam/Junk folder.
Please note: If there are any medical changes or if you have been taking any new medication since the last time you visited us, please inform us before you attend the clinic to ensure you are still suitable to have the treatment.
Contraindications
This treatment is contraindicated if you have or are:
- Allergy: Known hypersensitivity or allergy to botulinum toxin type A or any of its components (e.g. human albumin).
- Infection/Inflammation: Presence of an active infection or inflammation at or near the injection site.
- Neuromuscular Disorders: Conditions such as myasthenia gravis, Lambert–Eaton syndrome, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or other neuromuscular junction disorders.
- Medications: Concurrent use of medications (e.g. aminoglycoside antibiotics or muscle relaxants) that may interfere with neuromuscular transmission.
- Pregnant/Breastfeeding: Generally contraindicated during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Previous Adverse Reaction: History of an adverse reaction to botulinum toxin treatments.
Pre Treatment Advice
Please:
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment
- Do not engage in strenuous exercise on the day of treatment
- Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face
Post Treatment Instructions & Expectations
- You should remain upright and refrain from touching the treated area for 3-4 hours.
- Do not engage in strenuous exercise for 24 hours after the treatment.
- You should avoid alcohol for 24 hours following the treatment.
- Do not massage the area and avoid rubbing a towel on the area for 48 hours.
- Results can take upto 14 days to become effective, botulinum toxin is a temporary treatment, to maintain results treatment is recommended every 3-6 months. Top ups are normally performed 2 weeks after the treatment.

If you experience any unexpected side effects or notice any changes that concern you, please contact the clinic immediately. In particular, any skin colour changes, such as an area of skin becoming purple or red, or bruising which appears abnormal:
