Prof. Dr. Kristo Papa is a leading cardiothoracic surgeon.
He is highly experienced in minimally invasive cardiac surgery, complex valve repair and replacement, and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). With over 15 years of surgical experience, Prof. Dr. Papa combines advanced surgical techniques with a patient-centred approach to deliver optimal clinical outcomes. His expertise includes transcatheter valve interventions (TAVI), robotic-assisted cardiac procedures, and comprehensive peri-operative cardiac care.
Prof. Dr. Papa completed his Master’s degree in Medicine at the University of Geneva in Switzerland, obtained his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of L’Aquila in Italy, and later completed a postgraduate Master’s programme in Surgical Leadership at Harvard Medical School in the United States. He has also undertaken leadership training at Oxford University, reflecting a strong academic foundation and commitment to excellence in clinical practice.
Alongside his clinical work, Prof. Dr. Papa is actively involved in research and medical education and has published in internationally recognised medical journals, contributing to ongoing advances in cardiothoracic surgery.
