Are dermal fillers safe?

All non-invasive procedures do naturally have a risk, but at Omniya in Knightsbridge, we take the necessary steps to ensure to minimise all of the risks. This includes a full consultation which examines your medical history and a full explanation of the procedure. By nature, dermal fillers are extremely safe and a popular choice for restore and restructuring volume in the face.

What does the treatment involve?

For a dermal filler treatment, we will inject small quantities of dermal filler into the desired areas of the face. This will restore volume and give you a more youthful and healthy appearance.

 What are the side effects?

The side effects are very minimal and only require a small amount of down time in recovery. A common side effect can be very light bruising, which can last up to three days. This bruising occurs as the healthy bloodstream is working to quickly treat the live wound and broken skin tissue from the needle insertion. This is temporary however and will fade, leaving no permanent scarring or marks on the skin. Other issues may interfere with the bruising. This includes lifestyle, alcohol consumption and medication. Because of one of more of these factors, there may be slight swelling and redness, but this will only last a few days.
